Albany January 23 Save The Date

We are going to Albany on January 23, 2023

Our goal is to have as many people in our community let their public servants know how they feel about several bills related to medical freedom, parental rights, and medical privacy.

It is essentially important to make our presence known and to let our public servants know how we feel early on the legislative session in order to make sure they respect our positions and do not violate us.

Here are some of the bills:

Senate Bill S153: Adult Vaccine Database Bill

Assembly Bill A676: Minor Consent for any medical, dental, health and/or hospital serviced

Assembly Bill A276b: would allow drugs and vaccines marketed to prevent sexually transmitted diseases to be given to minors of any age without parental knowledge or consent. The New York Assembly Health Committee passed it last session, but it still has to go thru Assembly Rules Committee, possibly other committees, and pass a floor vote in the Assembly. As of now no action has been taken on it’s companion bill in the senate (S762a)

Quarantine Camp Regulation: New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s quarantine camp regulation that would allow the seizure and indefinite detention of anyone suspected of exposure to a communicable disease was restored a few months back by a decision of the New York Appellate Division’s Fourth Judicial Department. The Appellate Division overturned a lower Court’s decision issued last July by Judge Ronald Ploetz who had voided the Governor’s rule.

Assembly Bill A2125 (new bill number will be issued shortly), would ban religious exemptions from vaccine mandates for employment and college.

A1811/S1945 are bills to mandate flu shots to attend school. The official description of the bill states, “Relates to mandatory influenza vaccine for persons attending daycare.” The memo written by the bill authors only mentions preschool settings, but throughout the text of the bill influenza is included among the diseases that must be vaccinated against for K-12 students.

Senate Bill S6103 would allow minors 14 years and older to be given any vaccine recommended for children.

Assembly bill A2905 would change New York law so that medical exemptions from vaccine mandates to attend school would be under direct control by the New York State Department of Health.

Senate Bill S624 would require all college students in the state to get a Covid shot(s). The law would apply to all full and part time students born after 1957. The law would apply to online students as well including out-of-state students
